The CFZ "Weird Weekend" is Coming

Since 2000, the CFZ has held an annual conference; and each year we have gone from strength to strength. This year is no exception, with a great line-up of speakers. If you are going to be in the UK this August, check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Tickets for the 2007 Weird Weekend are now on sale. Click here for details.

This year's event will be on the 17-19 August in Woolfardisworthy, North Devon. The Weird Weekend is the largest yearly gathering of mystery animal investigators in the English-speaking world. Having run unbroken for seven years, the convention attracts speakers and visitors from all over the world and showcases the findings of strange phenomena investigators.

Cryptozoologists, parapsychologists, ufologists, and folklorists are descending on Woolfardisworthy Community Centre to share their findings and insights. Unlike other events, the Weird Weekend will also include workshops giving tips to budding paranormal investigators, and even a programme of special events for children.

The Weird Weekend is the only fortean conference in the world that is truly a family event, although those veterans of previous events should be reassured that it is still as anarchically silly as ever!

The event is raising money for the Centre for Fortean Zoology, the world’s only full time, professional cryptozoological organisation. At this stage - five months before the event - this timetable is ridiculously provisional, and the CFZ take no responsibility for disappointment caused by the non-appearance of any of the advertised speakers.
