The "Aliens" would not be considered Crypto by many, if not most Crypto people, Nick.

Same for the Pukwudgie. More akin to Mythology and the Paranormal---as in "Fairie" creatures.

Doesn't surprise me, though. Books and newspapers like to "blur the lines" and mix different "disciplines" altogether. To be expected, mostly.

Good list aside from those two.

Glad you posted it.

Yeti/Abominable Snowman,Bigfoot,Yeren and Yowie are all the same beast (except no-one's ever seen a Yowie!)Nessie and Storsjoduret are probably the same horse/dog headed serpent or eel thing. As Cryptidsrus says, aliens don't count.
As for puk-wud-jies : according to Dr Shuker's very illuminating essay on his website they're for real, and lived all over America under a variety of even more unpronounceable names! He also describes the mannegishi/Dover Demon- my favourite cryptid - something that sounds more alien than the aliens.
still, at least the mainstream press is getting up to speed on cryptozoology,I'm sure storsjoduret and pukwudjies wouldn't have got a mention 2 or 3 years ago.
