(Not) The Voice Of Reason...

Check out my latest Lair of the Beasts post over at Mania.com to learn all about some of the over-the-top responses I got when I dared suggest that Bigfoot might be more (or less) than mere flesh-and-blood...

Excellent article mate. Mind you, why is it when an alleged 'real' but undiscovered animal remains elusive, mainly hunts at night, and displays intelligence, it becomes the subject of paranormal mysticism ? The same could be said for the 'big cats' in the UK which are about as ghostly my testicles. Alot of crazy things are seen across the world, a majority of these things are hoax, misindentification and possibly thoughtform, but there's also a helluva lotta land rarely surveyed by science, rarely frequented by humans, and when we consider that the mountain gorilla wasn't discovered until the early 1900s, I think there is a little too much naivety and drama when it comes to Bigfoot.
I've always thought Bigfoot was real, but there will always be reports connecting the beast to UFOs/demons etc, and it's the same with big cats, but the big cats I've seen ARE real, and I just think Bigfoot could be too. I just think mankind is a little less knowledgable than it realises and tends to underestimate the power, elusive nature and guile of many animals, but it's also great that such creatures at times get enshrouded by folklore. I guess it keeps them protected in a way.
But Nick, if there is a Hell, and you do burn in it before me, can you let me know what the women are like down there...

Cheers for this comment Neil! And, yes, if I get to the underworld, I will try and keep you informed of the women that await!

It never ceases to amaze and dismay me that when it comes to cryptozoology, paranormal investigations, Forteana, and any other "fringe science", certain groups or individuals are just as dogmatic and narrow-minded as the "legitimate scientific community" they spend so much time railing against.
Weirdness is supposed to be fun!
