Over at his blog, Dr. Karl Shuker has a fascinating new post (and accompanying drawing) from the Second World War that appears to show nothing less than (wait for it!) a Chupacabras clad like a dastardly Nazi! I absolutely kid you not!
Here's the link...
Wow, that's fascinating!
ReplyDeleteAnother uncanny resemblance is that in the WWII illustration the Nazi monstrosity is sucking the blood from the gas mask's flexible tube; and I do remember that some Chupacabras accounts from Puerto Rico described the beast to have some sort of retractile tongue-like organ from which it exsanguined its preys. And that's what allegedly left the notorious mark on the animal corpses.
It also reminds me of Guillermo Del Toro's vampires, on both Bade II, and on his The Strain novel trilogy.

ReplyDeleteEven weirder, on my second expedition to Puerto Rico of how the Chupacabras can supposedly subdue its prey via some form of knock-out gas that comes from its mouth - like a paralyzing belch! LOL. But, you're right, there are indeed some very odd resemblances.
