Ken Gerhard: Interview Tonight

Tonight's guest on the Exploring All Realms show I co-host with Raven Meindel will be good friend Ken Gerhard. Ken will be speaking about how he got interested and involved in cryptozoology, the research he undertook for our recent co-written book, Monsters of Texas, and his earlier books, Big Bird! and Monsters Are Real.

Here's the links for the show (Link 1 and Link 2) and hope to see you there!

  1. The part of the show I was able to catch was great. Having just finished the "Monsters of Texas" book I was familiar with most of what I heard, but actually hearing these stories brought a fascinating eeriness to them. Keep up the good work.

  2. I have recently engaged this cryptozoology discipline and few clicks here and there I found your blog, which I follow from a few weeks now as well as Mrs. Meindel´s. Always enjoying the very interesting content.

Regarding last week´s E.A.R., let me Congratulate both of you! That was quite an interesting Show!!

I live in the mexican border State of Chihuahua, and certainly we have some local legends such as the "lechuza" commented briefly by your guest, Ken Gerhard.

Although I consider it can´t be in the cryptid category, you can hear from time to time, some reports about sightings of big birds flying around rural little towns, the identity of this huge winged "beings", are in fact this "lechuza phenomenon".
Southeast, near Presidio, Tx, following a few kilometers down the Rio Bravo, is one of the best spots to watch them according to the local lore.

Well, Thanks to bring us such an exciting and fabulous radio show. Big Fan from now on for sure.

    Keep up the good work!

P.S. Mr. Redfern, I´d like to share you a couple of local "legends" about some cryptids from this side of the border, ¿how can I contact you? Thanks in advance.
