Footprints in the Snow...

Here's an interesting, new story from Britain's Daily Mail newspaper about what may be a new big-cat encounter - with photos.

I know dogs leave nail marks in their prints but do cats?

That's a very good question, because: the answer is No. When big-cats walk they retract their claws. I suppose it's dependent on how long the animal stood still when it made each print, and maybe flexed its claws then. Maybe we'll find out more as investigations into the story continue.

That's what I thought ... well what ever it is, it is definately a fairly large animal.

This is a dog print Nick, I emailed the Louth Leader and they will send anything in in the future to us for evualtion. Saves embarassing articles like this.

Cats are also rounder and not usually as elongated
