Although this new story is not directly linked to the issue of the Big-Cats roaming the British countryside, it is worth referencing as evidence that, from time to time, big-cats do escape into the wild.
In this case, the animal was only free for a brief period; but those that might have escaped from the confines of, particularly, private collections in the UK, may very well have tasted freedom for much longer...
