I once read an entry on paranormal.about.com about a sighting in Big Springs, Tx. So apparently South Carolina is not the only place where this creature is found. In that instance it was (supposedly) a twelve-year old kid who shot at the thing and ran like hell. Lizard Man is one of my favorite cryptids. Is it a humanoid reptoid? Or a raptor? Heck, it could be one of David Icke's reptilian "friends." Heh-heh-heh.
I've wondered about that van. Can experts determine conclusively whether an ordinary animal could have done that damage to it or not? It's never been conclusively determined. One small caveat---I would LOVE to hear from Christopher Jones---the "originator" of the Lizard Man "flap" and still the BEST eyewitness to the creature. I wonder what became of him after twenty years (this year is the 20th anniversary of the flap, BTW). Could this resurgence of the fearsome lizard be TIED to the 20th anniversary? HMMM. Methinks Mr. Keel sniffs something funny here...
I remember hearing from a friend of mine in the UK named Matthew Williams of a similar creature seen in the mid 90s in woods in the English county of Wiltshire. I'll contact Matt and see if he has any more info I can post here.
